ShroomVault is a location-logging tool only. It does NOT identify mushrooms. Never consume wild mushrooms without expert physical identification. Use of this app constitutes an assumption of all risks, including poisoning, injury, or trespassing. Cardboard Social LLC is not liable for any misidentification or incident occurring at tracked locations.
By using ShroomVault, you agree to the following terms. If you do not agree, do not use the application.
ShroomVault, operated by Cardboard Social LLC, grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the application on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use, subject to these terms.
ShroomVault is a location-tracking journal designed for personal record-keeping. It is not an identification tool, an educational guide, or a safety mechanism. The application contains no species identification features and makes no representations about the edibility, safety, or identity of any organism.
Foraging for wild mushrooms carries inherent and severe risks, including illness, injury, or death from consuming toxic varieties. Mushroom fruiting locations change over time, land ownership and access rules may vary, and nature is inherently unpredictable. You assume 100% of the risk associated with foraging, consuming, or interacting with wild mushrooms. You should always consult a qualified mycologist or expert before consuming any wild mushroom.
The developers of ShroomVault accept no liability for misidentifications, adverse health effects, injuries, or damages of any kind resulting from the use of this application.
You are solely responsible for complying with all local, state, and federal laws while using this application. ShroomVault does not grant you permission to enter any land. You agree not to use the app to trespass on private property, commercial land, or protected government territory.
Your data is stored locally on your device and backed up to your personal cloud accounts. ShroomVault is not responsible for any loss of data due to app uninstallation, device failure, file corruption, or cloud sync errors.
ShroomVault allows you to export your data to share with others. We are entirely free from liability regarding how you or any third party chooses to interpret, share, or act upon the exported coordinates or data.
THE APPLICATION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APPLICATION WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL CARDBOARD SOCIAL LLC, SHROOMVAULT, OR ITS DEVELOPERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE APPLICATION.
IN NO EVENT SHALL CARDBOARD SOCIAL LLC'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID TO SHROOMVAULT IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
We may terminate or suspend your license to use the application at any time, for any reason, without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the application ceases immediately. Sections 2, 4, 5, 6, and 8 survive termination.
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Kansas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action arising out of these terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Kansas.
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted within the app and on our website. Continued use of ShroomVault after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
